A ceremony to present certificates to the first graduates of the educational and professional program for training specialists in pharmacovigilance was held at the Center.
The training took place at the Department of Pharmacology with Clinical Pharmacology of Ternopil National Medical University named after I. Ya. Horbachevsky of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine from April to July 2025. During this time, students completed a course of 12 modules – from theory to practical aspects of pharmacovigilance.
After passing the exam successfully, the trainees received certificates, which were personally presented by the TNMU Rector Mykhailo Korda.
“It is symbolic that the first graduates were employees of the Center – those who work every day for patient safety. I wish everyone further professional development and inspiration,” said Mykhailo Babenko, greeting the participants.
As a reminder, in 2022 the Center initiated the development of a professional standard in pharmacovigilance. Thanks to the work of the expert group led by Deputy Director of the Center Yevheniia Ishkova, a new profession, “Pharmacovigilance Professional,” was added to the national classifier.
