In accordance with the Law “On Access to Public Information”, a response to an information request must be provided no later than five working days from the date the request is received. If the request concerns a large volume of information or requires searching for information among a significant amount of data, the period for considering the request may be extended to 20 working days with justification for such extension.
In accordance with Article 23 of the Law “On Access to Public Information”, decisions, actions or inaction of information holders may be appealed to the head of the information holder, a higher authority or a court.
Appeals against decisions, actions or inaction of information holders to a court are made in accordance with the Code of Administrative Procedure of Ukraine.
Provision of public information
Public information is provided by the State Enterprise “State Expert Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine” in response to an information request.
According to the Law “On Access to Public Information”, public information is information recorded and documented by any means and on any media that was received or created in the course of the performance by subjects of power of their duties provided for by current legislation, or that is held by subjects of power.
A request from a person for information is drawn up in free form. It must specify:
1) the requester’s first and last name, postal address or e-mail address, and telephone number;
2) a description of the information the requester would like to receive (the type, title, details or content of the document to which the request relates)
3) signature and date.
