From 13 July 2026, the State Expert Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine begins conducting the assessment of the impact on human health of vitamins, mineral substances, other substances and their maximum permissible doses in food products proposed for placing on the market as dietary supplements.
The procedure will be carried out in accordance with the Procedure approved by order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine No. 219 of 20 February 2026.
In accordance with the said Procedure, the Center carries out:
Consultations on risk assessment
Based on the results of the consultation, the applicant is provided with written recommendations on the preparation of materials for the assessment.
Important! A request for a consultation must be submitted no later than six months before the planned date of submission of the application for the assessment.
Assessment of the impact on human health
Based on the results of the assessment, the applicant is provided with a conclusion on the assessment of the substance, which contains a recommendation on:
- inclusion of the relevant substance in the List indicating the maximum permissible level (if any); or
- refusal to include the relevant substance in the List.
Procedure for obtaining services
To receive a consultation on risk assessment issues or to conduct an assessment, the applicant must first conclude an agreement with the Center.
