COVID-19 VACCINE JANSSEN from Janssen Pharmaceutica NV

COVID-19 VACCINE JANSSEN (COVID-19 VACCINE JANSSEN), manufactured by Janssen Pharmaceutica NV, Belgium, is indicated for active immunization of persons aged 18 years and older.

The active substance of the vaccine is adenovirus type 26 encoding the SARS-CoV-2 spike glycoprotein (produced using recombinant DNA technology in the PER.C6 TetR cell line) (Ad26.COV2-S) – not less than 8,92 log10 infectious units (IU).

Vaccine in the form of a suspension for injection (0,5 mL one dose), 2,5 mL of suspension in a multidose vial with a rubber stopper, aluminum crimp and blue plastic cap. Each vial contains 5 doses. 10 multidose vials per package.

In accordance with Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 95 of 08.02.2021, which provides for the registration of vaccines for the prevention of COVID-19 under obligations for emergency medical use, COVID-19 VACCINE JANSSEN (COVID-19 VACCINE JANSSEN), manufactured by Janssen Pharmaceutica NV, Belgium, is authorized for emergency use in Ukraine.

The vaccine is injected intramuscularly into the shoulder, in the area of the deltoid muscle. The vaccination course with the vaccine involves the administration of one dose of 0,5 mL.
