In accordance with paragraph 8 of Section IV of the Procedure for Expert Evaluation, the applicant must amend the instructions for medical use of the medicinal product upon receipt of new data, including bringing the instructions for medical use into line with the approved instructions for medical use of the original (reference) medicinal product, and ensure that the information on the medicinal product corresponds to current scientific knowledge.
Olaparib (olaparib) – hepatocellular injury and hepatitis
Having reviewed the available evidence in EudraVigilance, the literature, and nonclinical and clinical studies, PRAC agreed that the marketing authorization holder of the medicinal product Linparza (olaparib) AstraZeneca should submit variations to update the package leaflet as described below (new text underlined in bold):

Повідомлялося про випадки гепатотоксичності у пацієнтів, які отримували лікування олапарибом (див. розділ «Побічні реакції»). У разі розвитку клінічних симптомів або ознак, що вказують на гепатотоксичность, слід негайно провести клінічне обстеження пацієнта та оцінити показники функції печінки. У разі підозри на медикаментозне ураження печінки лікування слід призупинити. У разі тяжкого медикаментозне ураження печінки припинення лікування слід розглядати як клінічно доцільне.
