We sincerely thank everyone who was involved in organizing and holding this important event of the year. The Forum became an open professional platform for strategic dialogue between representatives of state authorities, the scientific and medical community, international partners, the pharmaceutical industry, contract research organizations, and professional associations. The event brought together more than 300 participants in offline and online formats.
The Resolution identifies key priorities for the development of the field of preclinical and clinical research in Ukraine in wartime, in particular:
- recognition of clinical trials as a strategic direction for the development of the healthcare system;
- formation of a coherent state policy and the National Strategy for the Development of Clinical Trials;
- further harmonization of Ukrainian legislation with European Union law and GCP and GLP standards;
- development of university hospitals and clinical trial centers as a key component of the established field of clinical trials, taking into account the support and complementation of the existing market, in the role of an equal participant in it;
- integration of Ukraine into international systems of quality control and transparency of clinical trials;
- support for innovative areas, in particular advanced therapies (ATMP), RWE studies and proactive pharmacovigilance;
- strengthening ethical standards, protection of patients' rights and involvement of patient organizations.
The Resolution based on the results of the Forum was adopted as a basis, finalized by the Organizing Committee and approved in its entirety. The document reflects the consolidated position of the professional community regarding the further development of a competitive, innovative and sustainable clinical trial system in Ukraine.
The Forum participants called on international sponsors and partners to consider Ukraine as a reliable and promising site for conducting clinical trials, including under conditions of war.
