An effective regulatory system in the pharmaceutical sector is impossible without open dialogue between the state and manufacturers of medicinal products. It is important to hear each other and seek solutions together, because the patient must always be at the center of this system – ultimately, it is the patient who receives the medicines.
This week, a working meeting was held at the State Expert Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine with the heads of Ukrainian manufacturers of medicinal products. They discussed issues that are important today for the development of the pharmaceutical sector and the harmonization of the regulatory system with European approaches.
In particular, they discussed:
- the implementation of requirements for bioequivalence studies for medicinal products
- the practical aspects of implementing the transition period for products registered in previous years
- possible approaches to the further development of the system of state regulation and control in the pharmaceutical sector
Such meetings are important for open professional dialogue between the regulator and business.
Joint discussion makes it possible to better take into account the practical aspects of the market's operation and to shape decisions that will contribute to the development of the pharmaceutical industry and ensure patients' access to quality and safe medicines.
