In August, the number of blood donors traditionally decreases due to vacations, heat and seasonal travel. But the need for blood does not go on vacation. It is needed every day by hospital patients, wounded military personnel and civilians.
That is why the State Expert Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine joined the nationwide #ЯСерпневийДонор initiative, founded by the Ukrainian Center for Transplant Coordination, and continued its own tradition of Donor Days.
This time, 24 employees of the Center donated blood.
Together – 10,8 liters of donated blood.
The Donor Day was held with the support of the Kyiv City Blood Center, whose specialists organized the donation directly at the Center. Afterward, each donor received a symbolic badge "My blood fights".
One donation can become help for a person during surgery or complex treatment, after a wound or in another situation when blood is needed urgently.
