Today's pharmaceutical market is not only about the quality and safety of medicinal products. It is also about trust, transparency of processes, integrity and responsibility of all market participants.
This and other topics were discussed during the event "Integrity in the pharmaceutical sector: challenges, risks and practical solutions", which took place in Kyiv recently.
The event was held within the UNIC Business Integrity Month and brought together representatives of state institutions, pharmaceutical companies and the expert community.
The focus of the discussion was modern compliance challenges in healthcare and pharmaceuticals; companies' approaches to building a culture of integrity; interaction between business and the state to increase market transparency, practical cases and experience of implementing compliance practices in the pharmaceutical sector.
Denys Cherednyk, Deputy Director for Compliance and Risk Management, joined the meeting on behalf of the Center.
During the discussion, he spoke about the changes that are already taking place in the work of the Center. In particular, about measures to prevent conflicts of interest, digitalization of processes and the gradual abandonment of paper document flow, which contributes to increased transparency of processes and effective interaction with applicants. He emphasized that the Center's priority is the quality of expert evaluation, transparency of processes and trust in the decisions made.
The Center pays particular attention to communication with market participants. The introduction of new approaches is accompanied by consultations and training events that help ensure proper understanding of the requirements and their practical application.
The discussion participants emphasized the importance of further development of compliance approaches, prevention of conflicts of interest and strengthening the principles of integrity in the pharmaceutical sector as a basis for the effective functioning and further development of the industry.
