Deputy Director of the Center Mykhailo Pasichnyk and Head of the Department of Standards in the Healthcare Sector of the Center Oksana Gulenko took part in the National Conference on Primary Healthcare, which was held in Kyiv a few days ago.
The event brought together representatives of the WHO office in Ukraine, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, the NHSU, primary care physicians, heads of healthcare institutions, and public organizations.
The discussion focused on the further development of primary healthcare in Ukraine: building a capable network, preserving human resources, financing and investment management, ensuring the quality of medical care, priorities and plans for the future.
During his speech in the panel discussion "Data as the basis for evidence-based decisions at the primary healthcare level," Mykhailo Pasichnyk emphasized the role of sectoral standards in ensuring the quality of treatment, as well as the importance of healthcare professionals at the primary level adhering to them. It is precisely at the primary healthcare level that the patient's interaction with the healthcare system begins, early detection of diseases occurs, and subsequent treatment tactics are formed.
M. Pasichnyk noted the role of the State Expert Center in providing informational and methodological support during the development of standards and the maintenance of the Register of Medical Technological Documents
The Register of MTD provides healthcare professionals with access to current standards and clinical guidelines developed on the basis of the best international practices and evidence-based data necessary for the provision of quality and modern medical care.
