The State Expert Center continues to systematically develop cooperation with the country's leading medical institutions. A Memorandum of Cooperation between the Center and Feofaniia Clinical Hospital was signed the other day, with the participation of the Center's Director Edem Adamanov and the hospital's Chief Physician Ihor Semeniv.
The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Director for Health Technology Assessment and Clinical Trials Yevheniia Ishkova and the Deputy Chief Physician of Feofaniia Clinical Hospital for Outpatient Care Vitalii Yunher.
The common goal of the memorandum is to combine the scientific, medical, expert and educational potential of the parties to improve the quality of medical care, develop clinical trials, medical science and innovation, and introduce modern medical technologies.
During the negotiations, the parties outlined the key areas of cooperation:
- Development of clinical trials: strengthening the clinical capacity of the hospital as a trial site will open access for patients to new therapeutic options and modern treatment. To this end, the clinic's specialists will undergo specialized training at the SEC on Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
- Development of ATMPs and Hospital Exemption: a separate area of cooperation – the development of advanced therapy medicinal products (ATMPs) and the hospital exemption mechanism. Combining the clinical experience of Feofaniia with the expertise of the SEC can help develop practical approaches that will in the future expand patients' access to high-tech personalized treatment.
- Pharmacovigilance: strengthening medicinal product safety measures – detection and reporting of adverse reactions to medicinal products and other risks of their use.
- Health technology assessment: exchange of information, clinical data and analytical materials.
- Hospital health technology assessment: it is planned to develop approaches that will help the hospital rationally use resources, medical equipment and medicinal products for the specific needs of patients.
- Expert potential: strengthening the expert potential of the SEC by drawing on the experience of practicing physicians.
- Standardization of medical care: application of practical clinical experience for the development and implementation of standards of medical care, clinical guidelines, and patient pathways on the principles of evidence-based medicine.
- International integration and development of science: organization of joint scientific and practical, educational, and informational events, participation in international programs and projects.
The signed Memorandum lays a solid foundation for long-term partnership, improvement of the quality of medical science and practice, introduction of modern medical technologies, and enhancement of the system of state regulation in the field of healthcare.
