DHIS2 information platform

On December 9, specialists of the Pharmacovigilance Division of the State Expert Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine took part in a WHO webinar at which a demo version of a platform for collecting and consolidating information on adverse events following immunization (AEFI) was presented.

The event was held via Zoom and brought together 223 participants from various countries around the world.

District Health Information Software 2 (DHIS2) is an information platform designed for data management, analysis and monitoring in the healthcare system. Today it is used in 73 low- and middle-income countries.

DHIS2 is a data repository with visualization functions and the ability to analyze existing data in real time. Data entry is possible with maximum detail, including the vaccine or vaccines (if 2 or more were administered simultaneously), dose, date of administration and recovery, patient information, and manifestations of AEFI. The platform makes it possible to create any report, to distribute AEFI cases by gender, manifestations, vaccine, and so on.

DHIS2 is built on the Android system and can be used free of charge.

The information obtained was useful in the context of sharing experience and expands the possibilities for further cooperation.
