The first publication in Ukraine on pricing methodology for medicinal products in the healthcare system has been issued, co-authored by the Center's specialists.
This is the most comprehensive and so far the only publication in Ukraine that defines the policy and approaches to the system of medicine pricing in Ukraine based on the best global economic practices.
For the first time, it raises the issue of introducing a pricing system based on health technology assessment as the main lever for the rational use of health care system resources and for increasing the price affordability of medical and pharmaceutical care.
The guide is intended for a wide range of specialists working in health care and pharmacy, and for students of higher pharmaceutical and medical educational institutions of Ukraine.
It is valuable in the context of providing:
- in-depth analysis of global experience and scientific approaches to medicinal product pricing;
- pharmaceutical pricing management systems;
- modern approaches to determining prices and tariffs;
- specifics of pricing policy for generics and pharmaceutical innovations;
- a methodology for medicine affordability pricing policy based on reference pricing and HTA.
The manual can be obtained when participating in the Center's training events.
It is also available in the libraries of leading medical and pharmaceutical universities. It has already received positive feedback from lecturers and students of the National University of Pharmacy, Bogomolets National Medical University, Luhansk State Medical University, Zhytomyr Basic Pharmaceutical College and others.
