These days, specialists of the Division for Standardization of Medical Care of the Center improved their level of professional knowledge at special training.

Joining the training from the Center were:

  • Hulenko O.I., Head of the Division of Medical Care Standardization;
  • Shylkina O.O., Deputy Head of Division;

During the discussion of the topic, special attention was paid to the following issues:

  • examples of best practice from various clinical guideline development agencies (for example, NICE in England, RNAO in Canada, SIGN in Scotland and ÄZQ in Germany);
  • key areas that may be needed, in particular, when updating the GIN Public Toolkit section, and other issues.

On behalf of the organizers, the following shared their experience of involving the public in the development of guidelines with those present:

  • Sara Scott, National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE), Public Involvement Program;
  • Lindsey Hovitt, guideline development methodologist at RNAO, Toronto, Canada, and other GIN members.

The knowledge gained will be used by the Center's specialists in their ongoing work to improve the methodological quality of clinical guidelines developed on the basis of evidence-based medicine.
