During February 10-12, 2025, a sectoral screening meeting between Ukraine's negotiating team and representatives of the European Commission took place in Brussels. The purpose of the screening is to determine the level of alignment of Ukrainian legislation with EU law, as well as the next steps and timelines required for full integration into the European Union.
The Center's team took part as part of the Ukrainian delegation for Chapter 28 “Consumer and Health Protection”, headed by Deputy Minister of Health for European Integration Maryna Slobodnichenko: Director Mykhailo Babenko and heads of divisions. As part of the joint presentation from Ukraine, our specialists presented the system of clinical trials, registration of medicinal products and pharmacovigilance in Ukraine's healthcare system, with an emphasis on progress in aligning with EU standards.
Also during the visit, the Center’s team joined a meeting with representatives of the Directorate-General for Enlargement and the Eastern Neighborhood of the European Commission (DG ENEST) and the Directorate-General for Health and Food Safety of the European Commission (DG SANTE), and visited the headquarters of the Belgian development agency Enabel.
