A new standard of medical care “Malocclusion (mesial occlusion, open bite, deep bite)”, approved by MoH order No.360 of 03.03.2025, has been added to the Center's Register of Medical Technological Documents. Methodological and informational support during the development of the document was provided by specialists of the Medical Care Standardization Department of the Center.
The sectoral standard will be of interest to specialists in dentistry, otolaryngology, orthopedics, traumatology, physiotherapy, and others of the relevant qualification and experience who work in healthcare facilities, as well as to individual entrepreneurs who have obtained a license to conduct business activities in medical practice in the field of "Dentistry".
Medical care involves the use of treatment methods aimed at eliminating malocclusion and its causes in the dentofacial apparatus (morphological, functional, aesthetic). To detect occlusion anomalies, the set of diagnostic and treatment measures has been expanded in accordance with patients’ age groups. Early diagnosis of dentofacial anomalies and their timely treatment prevent the formation of persistent disorders and changes in the face, as well as general somatic disorders of the body.
