Sectoral standards of care for combat trauma are a current and extremely important resource for the health care system facing the challenges of war. They are based on the international recommendations for the countries of the North Atlantic Alliance of the Joint Trauma System (USA), the NATO gold standard for saving military personnel with combat trauma. From the entire body of clinical guidelines, protocols and scientific publications, the Joint Trauma System most carefully selects evidence-based literature and lessons learned, and aggregates the opinions of leading experts.

Adopting the best international practices of combat trauma care is one of the ways to improve the quality of care for our wounded service members, prevent losses, and return the injured to normal social life.

For your information, the first 12 protocols for treating combat injuries were approved in 2024 – they are already being successfully applied in medical practice.
